CaSE4 — who, where, why? |
|
CaSE4 is a local action group formed in 2009 in response to some rather unwelcome proposals to build over the green belt around our villages.
The letters in the name are drawn from Caddington and Slip End, which are neighbouring villages in Central Bedfordshire; we also include residents from Woodside, Aley Green and Chaul End. As a group, we stand for protecting our villages, for being good neighbours and for a sustainable future.
The group consists entirely of volunteers; we have no affiliations or allegiances to political or other groups and are completely reliant on the support (both practical and financial) of local residents. Fortunately, the overwhelming message we receive is that our villages are worth protecting!
The main current threat is Bushwood, but we are also aware of Luton Gateway development proposals and NATS air-traffic proposals. We will continue to represent the best interest of Caddington and Slip End. |
