Speculative house builders, going under the name of Bushwood, have put forward proposals to concrete over 800 acres of our Green Belt. Following the Public Meetings in both Caddington and Slip End the message from the Residents was clear and unambiguous; Bushwood you are just not wanted.

Very good news at last. On the 23rd July the Joint Planning & Technical Committee (JPTC) voted unanimously (12 votes to nil) that the Core Strategy should go to the next stage of the process. This does not include development to the west of Luton, including Bushwood.

So, please take down all the "No Bushwood" signs in your gardens and store them.

But don't throw them away. Bushwood may still put in a Planning Application. If this happens we will resurrect our campaign. Full details here.
